Who we are looking for:
As a lead on our team, you’re a curious, motivated graphic designer whose focus on problem solving is backed by exciting visual designs. You have a mastery of the design process with a strong ability to understand client needs and objectives. As a conceptual thinker, you’re able to participate in strategic planning and creative concepting. Your expertise is mainly in digital solutions but you have an understanding of print, experiential and other traditional design mediums. Collaboration is your normal operating mode as you’ll find yourself working very closely with designers, comms and marketing, technology, project managers, and business folks. You are also very comfortable working directly with and presenting solutions to clients and stakeholders. Oh, and you’re a positive person willing to bring your personality and values to add to and enhance company culture. Your responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, lead and execute engaging design solutions for a wide range of clients
- Establish appropriate design needs; develop and execute multiple concepts; evaluate the success of design solutions
- Consistently operate within an effective and repeatable design process
- Confidently and clearly present ideas + rationale and lead conversations with both external clients and internal teams alike
- Provide internal leadership and design direction for other cross-functional teams as needed
- Work independently at times with client partner asks or internal initiatives
- Be a positive team player while bringing your individual skills and personality to the table
- Ensure clients are served and successful by helping each project reach its full potential
- Proactively manage your time and schedule and meet or exceed expectations and deadlines
- Manage, mentor and review work of junior team members
Your skills and experience:
- 5+ years of professional design experience in an agency, consultancy, or in-house team
- A portfolio that demonstrates your abilities and experience
- Understanding of existing and up-and-coming design tools, programs, trends, etc.
- Demonstrate a willingness for continued education
- Great imagination and a willingness to share ideas
- Highly organized and process-oriented with an attention to detail
- Adept multi-tasker who can shift focus as needed
- Positive, resourceful, collaborative team player
- Self-starter with the ability to juggle and lead multiple projects
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication and presentation skills
- Problem solving abilities with a willingness to get hands dirty
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as: spirits, cannabis, financial or healthcare is a plus
- Experience managing projects and people is a plus
Salary Range:
$65,000 – $95,000
